0 Over the past couple of weeks, we have quietly been preparing ourselves for what is one of the most epic automotive based events in the USA; TX2K12! This event started as a small Supra based event in 2000 and since then has grown into a national car event that attracts thousands of people from across the US and further! In the past years, Forged Performance has been an active sponsor and participant in this four day mega car event. We will be leaving our Metro Atlanta location early tomorrow morning to start our 14 hour journey to Houston, TX. We will be hitting the interstate in the Forged Performance Ford F-450 Tow Rig with our enclosed trailer filled to the brim with two very potent weapons for two very different targets:
Weapon #1: The Forged Performance Time Attack GT-R
This fully race prepared R35 GT-R is well known in the motorsports community having set many track records, and has graced the front cover of Modified Magazine. We will be participating in the Road Race Track Day Thursday at MSR Houston, come out and see this car in action! Company Founder and resident hot shoe, Sharif Abdelbaset, is looking forward to getting behind the wheel once again after setting the fastest GT-R lap time at least year’s TX2K11, in in Ryan’s daily driver nonetheless!
Weapon #2: Forged Performance Built and Tuned 957whp Street Monster
This car will be coming to Texas with us equipped with 18 inch Volk TE37 Super Laps and meaty M&H drag radials, loaded and ready to do battle against some of the fastest cars in America. We will have this beast filled with VP C16 race gas ready to make passes down the 1/4 mile drag strip at Lone Star Motorsports Park.
The Forged Performance Motorsports Team will be in full effect throughout the entire event. If you see anyone wearing a Forged shirt please feel free to introduce yourself and say “Hello!” We are a very friendly group of car guys!
